Best free +EV betting tools in 2026
By the Betwatch team. Published 2026-10-17, updated 2026-10-17. Competitor details checked October 2026.
The free options that find +EV bets automatically are Betwatch (a +EV board priced against a devigged fair line from the sharpest books, free during the beta), OddsFloor (a free screener with a public record, account required) and Odds Assist Pro (free signup, with +EV, arbitrage and middle tools listed). The rest, including OddsJam's scanners and OddsShopper's real-time board, are paid.
How we picked
- Free to use today, with no card needed.
- Shows the fair price and the edge, not just a list of picks.
- Says how fair odds are built (which books count as sharp, how the vig is removed).
- Covers player props as well as game lines, and pick'em apps and prediction markets.
We make Betwatch, so we list it first on criteria we state above. The other entries are described from their own sites as of October 2026; check them for current terms.

The list
1. Betwatch
Betwatch prices sportsbooks, exchanges and pick'em apps against a devigged fair line built from the sharpest books, for player props and for moneylines, spreads and totals. Each row shows the bet, the best price and where it is, the fair odds, the edge and which books priced it. The default Sharp view covers pregame bets and refreshes every 55 seconds. It does not send alerts.
2. OddsFloor
OddsFloor says it reads 25+ sportsbooks and exchanges, removes the vig with six methods (power, Shin and worst-case among them), and shows EV and a fractional-Kelly stake. It logs its qualifying finds against the closing line in public. It does not create its own projections.
3. Odds Assist Pro
Odds Assist Pro offers a sportsbook filter of 23 books, including prediction markets, and a wide set of scanners behind a free signup. Its pages do not state prices or which tools stay free, so confirm that before you depend on it.
4. OddsShopper
OddsShopper's free suite lets you enter odds and your true-odds estimate to see EV. The real-time +EV board and live arbitrage are in OS Pro.
5. Linewhale
Linewhale labels its Positive EV Finder and Arbitrage Finder as Premium. The free side is odds comparison and calculators.
6. OddsJam
OddsJam is the paid reference point: scanners for +EV and arbitrage across many books, promo tools and a bet tracker. It is built for bettors placing a high volume of edge bets.
Questions
What is the best free +EV betting tool?
For a free screener that shows the fair price and edge, Betwatch's +EV board (free during the beta) and OddsFloor (free with an account) are the two to try first. If you only want to check one bet, a free EV calculator is enough.
What does +EV mean in betting?
A +EV (positive expected value) bet pays more than its true chance of winning implies. A tool finds one by removing the vig from a sharp book's price to get a fair price, then comparing other books and apps to it.
Which books are treated as sharp?
Tools differ, and each should say which it uses. Betwatch builds the fair line from the sharpest books and shows which books priced each bet. Pinnacle is the usual reference for game lines.
Is a +EV bet a sure win?
No. A +EV bet wins less often than it loses at long odds and can lose many times in a row. The edge shows up over a large number of bets, and a price can move before you place it.
Do free +EV tools cover player props?
Some do. Betwatch's board covers player props and game lines, including pick'em apps. Check the sport and market you bet before choosing a tool.
