Frequently asked questions
How are parlay odds calculated?
Multiply the decimal odds of every leg together. Three legs at 1.91 each give 1.91 × 1.91 × 1.91 ≈ 6.97, so a $100 parlay returns about $697 if every leg wins.
Why are parlays worse value than the same bets placed separately?
Each leg carries the book margin, and multiplying legs compounds those margins. The more legs you add, the further the offered payout drifts below the fair multiplied price — which is exactly why books promote parlays.
What about correlated legs?
The multiplication assumes independent legs. When legs move together — a quarterback passing yards over with his receiver receiving yards over — the true joint probability is higher than the product, which is why books block or reprice most correlated combinations.
How do I know if a parlay price is fair?
Compare the payout the book offers against the fair multiplied odds this calculator produces from no-vig leg prices. The gap between the two is the total margin you are paying.
