Best free odds comparison sites in 2026

By the Betwatch team. Published 2026-10-17, updated 2026-10-17. Competitor details checked October 2026.

For a free, side-by-side view of many sportsbooks with the line history behind each price, Betwatch (44 books, history back to April 2026) and Linewhale (100+ books, updated every minute) are the two broadest. Covers and OddsTrader are simpler boards for the big US books with the opening line next to the current one. No free site shows literally every sportsbook in every state.

How we picked

  • Free to use, and clear about whether an account is needed.
  • How many books it compares, and whether prediction markets and pick'em apps are included.
  • Whether it shows how the price got there (opening line and moves), not only the price now.
  • Whether the useful part stays free or sits behind a paid tier.

We make Betwatch, so we list it first on criteria we state above. The other entries are described from their own sites as of October 2026; check them for current terms.

The list

1. Betwatch

Betwatch compares 44 sportsbooks, prediction markets and pick'em apps, highlights the best price, and records every price change from the opening line to the close. History goes back to April 2026 and finished games keep it. It also has a +EV board and free calculators. It does not send alerts and has no arbitrage scanner.

2. Linewhale

Linewhale calls itself a free odds comparison site and says it checks 100+ sportsbooks in 8 regions every minute. It covers the NFL, NCAAF, NBA, NCAAB, MLB, NHL, MMA, MLS and the Premier League. Its Line History (30 days) appears to need a free account, and its arbitrage and +EV tools are Premium.

3. Covers

Covers shows nine US sportsbooks by default for each NFL game, with a link for more books, an Open column and a Line Movement link per matchup. It is a good fast check for the major books. It is not a deep multi-book history tool.

4. OddsShopper

OddsShopper offers a free odds screen that flags the best price, plus calculators and a bet converter, all with an account. Its real-time +EV board and arbitrage tools are in the paid OS Pro tier.

5. OddsTrader

OddsTrader's boards show the opening line next to the current line and sit alongside picks and sportsbook reviews. It does not publish a full price history per book.

6. Action Network

Action Network's odds pages show each game's spread, total and moneyline per sportsbook, with the best price marked, next to news and picks. Some of its tools sit in the paid PRO tier.

Questions

What is the best free odds comparison site?

It depends on what you need. For many books plus the full line history of every game, Betwatch compares 44 sportsbooks, prediction markets and pick'em apps for free. For the widest raw book count, Linewhale says it checks 100+ books every minute. For a fast look at the big US books on one NFL game, Covers is quick.

Is there a site that shows every sportsbook side by side?

No free site shows every sportsbook in every state. Coverage depends on the sport, the market and what each book publishes. Check that the books you can actually bet at are on the screen before you rely on it.

Do I need an account to compare odds?

Not always. Betwatch's league and team odds pages and calculators need no account; its live board needs a free account. OddsShopper and Linewhale ask for a free account for some features.

Can I see how a line has moved, not just the price now?

Yes, on some. Betwatch records every price change at every book from the opening line to the close, back to April 2026. Covers and OddsTrader show the opening line next to the current line. Linewhale shows line movement for supported markets.

Are free odds comparison sites accurate?

They are only as current as their last refresh, and a price can disappear before you place a bet. Always confirm the price at the sportsbook before betting.

Try it

The Live Board is free with an account. Without one, you can still use the odds pages for every league, the team odds pages and the betting calculators.
