# Betwatch account settings: your sportsbooks, state, odds format, default league and favorite teams

> A free Betwatch account keeps its own setup: which sportsbooks to show, which state you bet in, how odds read, which league the boards open on and which teams come first. It is all on one page, Account Preferences (https://betwatch.io/account-preferences), in the account menu. Each choice saves on its own and follows the account to every device.

## What you can set

- **Sportsbooks.** Switch off the books and apps you do not use. They leave the odds tables, line charts, All Markets, the +EV board and the Movement Tracker, so every price on screen is one you can use. The consensus line and fair odds still count every book, so switching one off does not change them.
- **Your state.** Pick a US state and the books that do not take online bets there are turned off for you. Offshore and international books are not state-licensed, so they stay as you set them under Sportsbooks.
- **Odds format.** American (+150), decimal (2.50) or fractional (3/2). It changes how prices read. Sorting and best-price picks still use the American number.
- **Default league.** The league the Live Board and the +EV board open on.
- **Favorite teams.** Games with your teams come first on the Live Board. Teams come from the leagues that have a Betwatch team page.

## Common questions

- **How do I hide the sportsbooks I do not use on Betwatch?** Open the account menu, choose Account Preferences, and switch those books off under Sportsbooks.
- **Can Betwatch show only the sportsbooks that take bets in my state?** Yes. Choose your state in Account Preferences and the books that are not live there turn off.
- **Can I see decimal or fractional odds?** Yes. Set Odds format in Account Preferences.
- **Can I choose which league Betwatch opens on?** Yes. Set Default league in Account Preferences.
- **Does it cost anything?** No. Account Preferences needs a free Betwatch account, with no credit card.
